This striking sculpture tell the story of a culture and nature. Each piece is handcrafted by the Adrián and organically tinted with natural dyes.

• These pieces of pottery are made of Mexican barro which is clay sourced from local mountain areas of Mexico.
• Handmade by Adrián Martínez Alarzón. Differences in tint applications and surfaces are to be expected and embraced. This sculpture has a raw finish - some tint can stay on the hands when moving.
• Use as a statement piece in any room.

Bats are highly symbolic to the Zapotec community and in the wider Mesoamerican cosmovision. Even if many people fear it, the bat is locally a symbol of fertility and abundance as it pollinates the corn fields.
